So how do two childless guys end up founding an Internet company that’s all about babies?

Good question. Several years ago, the founders of MyBabyOurBaby found themselves surrounded by friends and colleagues embarking upon the wild journey known as parenthood. Labeled “Internet guys” by everyone they knew, Beau and Ray were constantly being asked to help with “doing online stuff” so the many new parents in their lives could show off their brand new, little people.

Then Ray had a stroke of genius (which he’ll tell you is a pretty common occurrence): Why not just create one web site where everyone can capture memories and easily share them with friends and family? Proving that chronic laziness can result in giant leaps for mankind, the two “Internet guys” quickly realized that creating one really awesome site would mean they wouldn’t have to keep creating new sites for every newborn baby they met.

Born in 2006, the idea for MyBabyOurBaby grew, slowly at first, from a casual project between two friends into the fully functional, feature-rich service you see today. Today, MyBabyOurBaby allows its members to showcase their memories in an interactive, collaborative space that grows and changes right along with the kids that are its inspiration.

The focus has been – and always will be – to help parents collect all kinds of memories in one safe, easy-to-use location that they can share with family and friends.

Ray Hernandez

Co-Founder & Creative Genius

Ray always said he'd have a baseball team's worth of kids by now. But doing all this cool "web stuff" has taken up more time than he anticipated, so he hasn't gone down that road quite yet. He's managed to convince someone to be his fiance though, so who knows? Maybe his baseball team dream is closer than he thinks. Originally from Dallas, Ray unfortunately never learned to ride a horse, but he does have a Southern drawl. He brings with him the kind of creative talent that stems from hundreds of stick-figure family portraits that were stuck on his fridge as a kid.

Ray sums up what he does in four words: I. Make. Things. Pretty. Some of the biggest brands in the world, such as Match.com, AOL and Betty Crocker have been lucky enough to have him make them as "pretty" as they could be. Now he's here to help you make your child's online debut look as amazing as it can possibly look.

Beau Lebens

If Beau knows one thing, it's that he's nowhere near responsible enough to have kids of his own. But, rest assured, he won't drop yours if he gets to hold them. Hailing from Australia, Beau brings over 10 years of experience on the wonderful worldwide web to MyBabyOurBaby. When you get right down to it, Beau is pretty much a wizard at developing easy-to-understand online systems that not only work the way they're supposed to, but also happen to be a pleasure to use. Some people tell him he spends way too many of his waking hours doing this stuff, but he wouldn't have it any other way.

With a degree in online community and culture studies and years spent working in technical fields, Beau is one of those weird "computer guys" who can also hold a normal conversation. Oh, and he even has a (real) girlfriend, honestly.
