This one is pretty cool. It’s like a new take on the old school “Cast Away” (you know the movie with Tom Hanks where he’s stranded on an island and just the pendant with his girlfriend’s picture keeps him alive?) style pendants. You always want the people that are close to you; right next to your heart. And now with these you can keep anyone in your family close.

Well cool enough. I mean there’s no real way to sexy up changing a diaper. But for us guys, walking around with a big pink flowery bag with a ton of diapers in it can be about as embarrassing as walking down the street in a tutu. That’s where DiaperDude.com comes in. The creator of the brand, Chris Pegula, was cursed with the pink diaper bag, so he took it upon himself to help out the rest of the male parentals by creating a range of diaper bags which “appeals to image-conscience men everywhere looking for ease of use.” Now we can look like we’re just cool techy nerds with a laptop bag on our shoulder, even though it’s really just diapers and formula. I’m not sure how we forgot to tell you, but as of last week My Baby Our Baby is completely FREE! No more monthly fees, no more “your book has been disabled”, and your book will never be deleted. We just wanted to give you as much as possible and for you to really enjoy our site.
There is a premium upgrade available that gives you and all members of your book the ability to upload as many photos as you want for just $39.95 (for a whole year). But if you don’t upload that much then our free service is perfect for you. It’s a great way to archive your memories — forever.

If you are a newbie father, you are quite possibly freaking out a bit. What do I do? When do I do it? and where do I get some information about this crazy parenting stuff? Well, if you look around there are a ton of parent centers and information, but if you’re looking for one with a little male attitude then you’ll quickly find that the cupboard is kind of bare. That’s where DIYFather.com comes into play.
DIYFather.com was brought into this world by Wellington-based dads Scott Lancaster, Eric Mooij and Stefan Korn who recognised the need for a dedicated website for fathers. Based on their own experiences of struggling to find useful parenting related information from a male perspective they created DIYFather.com
A huge reason for me telling you about DIY Father is the pure amount of information they have in all categories. Fathers and Sons, Fathers and Daughters, Food and Feeding, Understanding a New Mother, and the list just goes on for days. Check it out. I think you’ll really enjoy it.

We just wanted to say Happy Valentines Day to everyone, and announce that as of 5:42pm (hawaiian time) we have OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED My Baby Our Baby. It’s been a crazy first day. We’ve already had some great things said about us. Which we love! Even Mashable.com has written an article on us.
Anyway keep in touch, keep using the site, and keep your ideas flowing for new features that we can add. Thanks again and have a great Valentines Day!

Well it has been a very long time coming, but this week we’ll be starting the Private Beta test, where we will be inviting certain people to try out the site before we go public, and to help us smooth out any kinks there might be. We’re really excited about this test, and about getting some other people onto the site, and we’re hoping they are as well!
The new server appears to be running well, and is all geared up to handle everyone’s uploads, stories etc. We’ve made a load of improvements just in the last 2 weeks, and things are looking great. As a hint of what’s to come, we’re also working on integrating with the guys at Picnik (hard to spell, easy to use) to give you super-simple online photo editing! Neat.
If you don’t get an invitation this week, don’t fret — we’re keeping this group small, but we’ll be opening things up shortly. Hopefully somewhere around the first week of February, the site will be opened up for registrations from everyone.

Well we are really getting close now people. Today we officially moved in on our new server, which we’re proud to be hosting at Media Temple, one of the best hosts in the industry. If you’re reading this, then you’re accessing our new server. Now we have a bunch of final testing and tweaking to do, then we’ll be ready to send out invites to our private beta!
Most of you will already know who you are, but everyone on our private beta list will hopefully be getting their invitation in about 2 weeks!
We’re getting excited now!

We’re getting really close to launching the site, so I’ve been designing some cool layout designs for you to choose from. I thought I’d let you in for a little sneak peek, so here are some sections from 2 of the upcoming designs.
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that you will not find designs like these on any other scrapbooking site out there. You are going to end up with a really cool website for your child’s memories to live on. Trust me.

It occurred to me yesterday, while celebrating Thanksgiving, that the day is a perfect testament to part of what we’re trying to do with MyBabyOurBaby. It’s a day when families come together and get to see each other, to connect again (even if it’s only for one day) and to share stories about what has been happening in their lives.
At the Thanksgiving party I attended, there was family from all over California, and from as far away as Washington, DC. In amongst it all, there were 2 babies under the age of 1, and 2 other children under the age of 6. For some people there, it was the first time they were meeting these little people who were a part of their own family.
Something we’re hoping to see with MyBabyOurBaby is the ability for families like this to be able to share more of the lives of their children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews etc with each other. We’re providing a secure environment where Mom in Washington can post pictures of bub and have family in California keep up with how quickly they grow up.
Hopefully we can make the world a little bit smaller for the families who want to spend more time together, but can’t.
